Mrs. Lewis I. Prouty
393 Walnut Street
Brookline, Mass.

Dear Mrs. Prouty:

Could you perhaps eat a brook trout with me for lunch, either Thursday or Friday of this week?  I thoroughly enjoyed reading the seventeen chapters of Charlotte over Sunday, and have a few ideas about this and that to communicate to you.  If either of the days suggested suits you, you might come in here about twelve o’clock, so that we could talk about literature with the manuscript before us, and then stroll down to Ober’s to talk about fish.

Yours ever,

Ferris Greenslet
